Female Hair Restoration

Female hair restoration requires its own approach. Hair loss in women can affect the hairline, temples, central parting or overall density, and the pattern behind the thinning matters just as much as the area a patient wants to restore.

Female hair loss needs the right diagnosis

The first question is not simply how many grafts are needed. Female-pattern hair loss, traction, scarring conditions, previous surgery and other causes can create very different restoration needs.

Assessment focuses on the pattern of loss, donor quality, existing density and whether transplantation is the right route before surgical planning begins.

More than one technique

Female hair transplantation is not one technique. A woman may have FUE, FUT, DHI/Choi implantation, long-hair/no-shave transplantation or a combination approach depending on her donor characteristics, pattern of loss and restoration goals.

Hairline and temple restoration

Female hairlines require detailed aesthetic planning. Shape, height, temple closure, facial proportions, hair calibre and the way the existing hair naturally falls all influence the design.

Our female hair-restoration cases are matched with doctors experienced in female-pattern hair loss, hairline design and the different surgical approaches used in women.

Discreet donor options

Many women are understandably concerned about shaving. Long-hair/no-shave FUE can provide a discreet route, while FUT can also be attractive because one carefully placed linear scar can be concealed beneath longer hair rather than distributing thousands of individual extraction sites across the donor area.

What happens next

Consultation focuses on the cause and pattern of loss, donor quality, existing density, hairline goals and the areas you want to restore. The doctor then advises which harvesting and implantation approach gives the strongest plan.
